ALABAMA DOGS

HUEY

Breed: English Setter (field type)
Color: White with orange ticking
Age: 5 years
Sex: Male
Size: 42 pounds / Medium
History: Huey was selected from Chilton Co. Animal Shelter, where he had been picked up as a stray. He was emaciated and covered with fleas and ticks.
Activity Level: Medium
Grooming Needs: Medium
Positive Qualities: Friendly, humble, very sweet, loves to play fetch, LOVES to play with other friendly dogs, submissive, everything you want in a companion
Negative Qualities: Can climb a 5-ft fence (but doesn't run away!)
Special Needs: 6-foot fence or electric fence

GEORGIA DOGS

HOGAN

Breed: Labrador Retriever
Color: Chocolate
Age: 2 years
Sex: Male
Size: 70 pounds / Large
History: Hogan was surrendered by his owner, who did not have enough time to spend with him.
Activity Level: Medium
Grooming Needs: Low
Positive Qualities: This big boy is all baby - he loves to cuddle under the covers and prefers a big fluffy pillow! He is housetrained, crate trained, good with other dogs and children. (We do not know about behavior toward cats.)

Age: 1 1/2 Years
Sex: Male
Size: 23 pounds / Small
History: This little fellow was found as a stray. We made every attempt to locate his rightful owner before placing him up for adoption.

Positive Qualities: House & crate trained, loves kids & other pets, very playful, friendly and affectionate
Negative Qualities: Needs a lot of exercise!

YANCY

Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
Color: Black & Tan
Age: 9 1/2 years
Sex: Female
Size: 8 pounds / Small
History: Yancy was given up by her owner after she was attacked by another dog and lost an eye. Yancy has no long-term health problems resulting from the eye loss.
Activity Level: Low
Grooming Needs: High
Positive Qualities: Good with other dogs, housetrained & trustworthy in the house, likes older children.
